Tamil Padam is a film which had Mirchi Shiva and Deeksha Pandey in the lead roles. This film was directed by Amudhan. This film was a satirical one which made fun of the earlier Tamil films. It was mentioned that this was the first Tamil spoof film.
Seeing the reception of this film in Tamil, the Telugu remake rights were acquired and it was remade in Telugu with the title Sudigaadu which had Allari Naresh in the lead role. The screenplay was structured in such a way that it made fun of certain earlier Telugu films.
This remake film was also a great hit. Since this film was a great hit in Tamil and Telugu, It has been decided to remake the film in Hindi. Riteish Deshmukh will be donning the lead role in the Hindi film. Selection for the other cast and crew is going on. The Hindi film is titled Filmy Picture. The shooting of this film is to commence soon.
